Chrisette Michele - What You Do

Love Love Love Chrisette Michele. She worked with Ne-Yo on this album and you hear his vocals on this track. She teamed up once again with Ray Kay who directed her "Epiphany' video. I Love what they are doing as a team. Pooch Hall of "The Game" play her boyfriend.

She killed this on Wendy Williams about a week ago. Her performance made me a bigger fan. She sounded amazing and looked fabulous. She is currently on tour with Maxwell.

Precious

Loved the book "Push" by Sapphire. The movie looks like is going to stay true to the story. The film won a couple of awards at Sundance Film Festival. It features an all star cast, Mo'Nique, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Paula Patton, Sherri Shepherd, and introducing Gabourey Sidibe. It is executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry. The film is directed by Lee Daniels who directed "Shadowboxer" in 2005. Precious will be the second film he directed. It will be in theaters November 6.

Mariah Carey - Obsessed

Mariah Carey's "Obsessed" is one of my favorite videos right now. It is hilarious. I wouldn't have imagined that she would be able to play a male character so well. Can't wait to see her in "Precious" in September. For "Obsessed" Mariah teamed up with Brett Ratner who she has worked with a dozen of times. This video is a shot at Eminem and all the comments he has made about her. The lyrics to the song are funny. Some of my favorites, "You're a Mom & Pop, I'm a corporation" "I'm a press conference you're a conversation" "See right thru u like u bathed in windex" "Why you in my George Forman". Huge!! LOL

Sean Paul - So Fine

Everytime Sean Paul comes out with a video/song he will always make you dance. "So Fine" does just that. I don't even know what Sean Paul is saying, but I wanna dance and Ray Kay did a great job with this video. The only thing I am missing is Tanisha Scott..dancer..choreographer extraordinaire.

Wale - Chillin

I am really feeling Wale's "Chillin". Everytime the video comes on I always watch it. I am new "fan" of Wale and don't know much about him. I remember seeing/hearing him on The Roots song "Rising Up" which also features Chrisette Michele. I really like his verse on the song and "Chillin" does not disappoint as a 1st single. Chris Robinson does a great job with introducing Wale. There's nothing fancy about this video and that's a good thing. This song also makes me like Lady Gaga more. It's kinda crazy how she sounds alot like M.I.A.

Mario - Break Up

Mario's "Break Up" is one of my favorite songs right now. I am not a Gucci Mane fan, but I think he fits this track really well. I can kinda do without Sean Garrett's verse. I think there should have been another verse for Mario. The video left me wanting more. Chris Robinson is one of my favorite director but this video didn't do it for me. I feel like it's missing something.

Beyonce - Sweet Dreams

Beyonce's new video "Sweet Dreams" premiered on all music video stations on Thursday. "Sweet Dreams" was not what I expected. I had never heard the song until I saw the video. The video was not black and white and there were no leotards. LOL! I applaud Beyonce for taking risks and choosing a creative director, Adria Petty. But I am not sure how I feel about this video yet. I think it has to grow on me. Check it out.

Yong Money - Every Girl

Right before their awkward performance at the BET Awards Young Money's "Every Girl" surfaced. This video could have been a whole lot better. It seemed like they just threw a video together because of how popular the song has become. This video probably only took a day (if that) and was shot in a garage with Lil' Wayne's Phantom and every chick of every ethnicity that they could find to pile out the car like a clown car. Let's be more creative with the video people.

Drake - Best I Ever Had

Who else do you know that has a single from a mixtape on the Billboard charts? Well Drake aka Jimmy Brooks does. His single "Best I Ever Had" is currently #3 on the Billboard charts which is unheard of for a mixtape. The song is off of his mixtape "So Far Gone" which can be downloaded for free at Datpiff. I was disappointed with this video. I was expecting to see boobs bouncing and girls stretching. As the video went along the storyline got a little funny, but it was not what I expected. Let me know what you think.

Spectactular of Pretty Ricky Tipsy Series

This will be the 1st and last post about any member of Pretty Ricky, unless something ridiculous like this happens again. I want to know where was Pretty Ricky's publicist when these videos were released. I can MAYBE understand how the 1st video got out, but the 2nd..I'm not understanding. Who told him this would be hot?? I'm sure everyone has seen Spectacular's infamous grinding challenge. I decided to post some of my favorite reactions to this foolishness

Mariah Carey "Obsessed" Video Shoot

Mariah Carey is shooting the video for her new single "Obsessed". Mariah is once again working with director Brett Ratner. The have worked together for a number of Mariah's videos. The video has not premiered yet but the internet is buzzing around the pictures from the set.

Yes that's Mariah Carey! I can't wait 2 see the finished video. If you haven't heard "Obsessed" click on the link.

Jay-Z - D.O.A.

Jay-Z's video for "D.O.A" premiered during the post show of the BET Awards. The video is as raw as the song. While viewing this video you might get a T.I. "Live Your Life" feel. "D.O.A." shares the same director as T.I.'s video, Anthony Mandler. "D.O.A." is the 1st single from
Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 which will be released on September 11th.

Don't Stop To You Get Enough

Remember The Time

Ocean's 7

If you are not up on the Ocean's 7 that's why I'm here. A couple months ago on youtube I came across Jermaine Dupri's channel. I am a big JD fan and started watching his videos and became addicted. From the music sessions, the crazy conversations, and Johnta Austin's fascination with Jazmine Sullivan's boobs..oh excuse me titties. I have enjoyed every video. Seeing JD make a beat from scratch is amazing. The Ocean's 7 came about when JD, B. Cox, and Johnta started working on Usher's new album in Las Vegas. They decided to tear the city down like the rat pack did back in the day. Originally the Ocean's was JD, B.Cox, Johnta, Tyrone (JD's assistant), & Usher. Then Johnta started working with Trey Songz and they decided to add him to the Ocean's crew. Which I think was perfect, I have became a bigger fan of Trey Songz since he joined. Nelly got wind of this and decided that he should be part of this movement and let them have it since he "made you Niggas". The Ocean's crew is debating on if they should let Bow Wow join the crew because Bow Wow is not feeling the dress code. All of them got together and made a DOPE mixtape. They have taken it to another level. I can't believe they made it available for FREE. I listen to it everyday a couple times a day. Trey Songz verses...hotness. The entire mixtape is pure dopeness. Check out the videos and links below.

Beyonce ft. Kanye West - Ego

Beyonce's "Ego" is sticking to what she has been doing for most of the "I Am..Sasha Fierce" album. Black & white video, leotard, 2 back up dancers. This video is VERY simple. It was probably shot in 1 day, if it took longer than that I wouldn't understand why. Beyonce fans have came accustomed to seeing her looking "fierce" and doing a dance routine and they get that with "Ego". Mr. West is looking very daper and his verse is hot.

Ciara ft. Missy Elliott - Work

This video/song should have been released as Ciara's 1st single from "Fantasy Ride". I think if it was the 1st single it would have gave Ciara's CD the push it really needs. She would have sold more albums and the CD release date wouldn't have been pushed back. This is what Ciara is known for dance tracks. It features one of my favorite artists Missy Elliott (when is the new Missy album coming?) and it also directed by one of my favorite directors Melina. It reminds me a little of Beyonce's "Diva" because the industrial environment meeting the high fashion and both vidoes share the same director. Either way I am feeling this. The dancing is dope, happy to see Missy Elliott, and Ciara's body is sick. When I first saw this video I kinda got a B. Scott "Bitch Hold My Ponytail" feel. My fellow Love Muffins know what I mean. LOL

Gnarles Barkley - Who's Gonna Save My Soul

It's been awhile since I posted but I'm back. This video might be old to some of you, but I just saw it for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago. I think this is fighting for my favorite video of all time. I have never seen anything like it. Gnarles Barkley is not scared to be creative and go outside the box. The video is directed by Chris Milk whose credits include Kanye West's "Touch The Sky", Gnarles Barkley "Gone Daddy Gone", Nike commercials, among others. This video is dank (basically means way bomb) LOL. Check it out!

Trey Songz - I Need A Girl

Trey Songz
I Need A Girl
Director: Benny Boom

Trey "00711" Songz new video for the song "I Need A Girl" has been released. I love this song and video. The video was shot in Malibu, CA by Benny Boom. Songz 3rd studio album "Ready" will be released on June 30. He has been working a lot lately with Jermaine Dupri and the whole Ocean's crew. He is also on the mixtape. I look forward to hear more new music from Songz. This song is different from his prior work. A little more grown and less street. I am loving everything he is doing. Enjoy

Jazmine Sullivan - Dream Big

Jazmine Sullivan
Dream Big
Directors: Syndrome

Jazmine Sullivan's newest video is released and it's for Dream Big. This is an inspiring song. The video was directed by Syndrome the team that did Jazmine last video Lion, Tigers, and Bears. Most if not all of their videos are shot creating worlds using green screen. The video is pretty cool. The message of the song is inspiring. Reach for the stars. Believe in yourself and Dream Big!

Kanye West - Amazing

Kanye West ft. Young Jeezy
Amazing
Director: Hype Williams

I was very surprised by this video. The landscapes were amazing. But I was very disappointed with this video. When Hype and Kanye get together I expect greatness, but this video fell short.

Maxwell - Pretty Wings

Maxwell
Pretty Wings
Director: Philip Andelman

Maxwell is back!! His new video is directed by Philip Andelman. Andelman has directed the Jonas Brothers "Love Bug" , Miley Cyrus "Fly on the Wall" Beyonce "Halo", Jay-Z "I Know" along with other videos. This song and video is classic Maxwell. He hasn't changed his style a bit. I was surprised by the director. I would have guessed it was Paul Hunter. This video reminds me of Van Hunt's "Down Here In Hell". I could have done without the girls floating at the end. I guessed they had too much Red Bull on set LOL. Maxwell's last album was 2001's Now. His new album Black Summer Night will be released this summer.

Ne-Yo - Part of the List

Ne-Yo
Part of the List
Director: Taj

This video is beautiful. It was filmed in Europe and the scenery is beautiful. It was directed by Taj who has been putting out some fantastic work lately. This video should have been released before Ne-Yo's "Mad' video. But I guess it works as a prequel for the video. Either way it's great. Enjoy!!

The Black Eyed Peas new video has just released. The futuristic video for their new single Boom Boom Pow
. The video was directed by the folks who brought you the HP commercials, Weezer's Pork and Beans, and Adele's Chasing Pavements. This video is pretty hot. The Peas are showing off some new looks. Taboo with the flat iron flip, Fergie with the dark hair, and Will.I.Am is loc free.

Busta Rhymes - Hustlers Anthem

Busta Rhymes ft. T-Pain
Hustlers Anthem
Director - Hype Williams

This video is classic Busta Rhymes. He has teamed up with the man who helped shape is career and whose career he has helped, Hype Williams. This video is shot completely with a fish eye lens that is a trademark for when Busta and Hype together. Busta Rhymes Woo-Hah (Got You All In Check) was the first video to use a fish eye lens and it was directed by Hype Williams. Hustlers Anthem also revisits the wardrobe from the Woo-Hah video. Without the morphing effect this video is basic and simple which can be the best. But I could do without T-Pain's grill. LOL

Eminem - We Made You

Eminem
We Made You
Director - Joseph Kahn

Eminem's new video just hit the airwaves today. The video is hilarious. I am kinda surprised that the video was directed by Joseph Kahn. I thought it would have been Phillip Atwell and it sorta reminds me of what Dave Meyers would do. This song and video is classic Eminem. He has not changed his style at all..I guess if ain't don't fix it. The single is for Eminem's new album Relapse which will be in stores May 19. It's his first studio album since the 2004 Encore cd.

Day26 - Imma Put It On Her

Day26 ft. Yung Joc & Diddy
Director - RAGE

Day26's video has just been released. It's nothing special. The song is cool. Seeing them in this video is kinda weird after seeing all the drama that they are going thru on Making The Band. Que has some issues. I think he is a perfect example of knowing who you are before you get into the music business because it can have a negative affect on you. I am liking this song. It will be interesting to see if they can break the Making The Band curse.

Pink - Please Don't Leave Me

Pink
Please Don't Leave Me
Director - Dave Meyers

This video is disturbing and fantastic at the same time. When Pink & Dave Meyers get together they always bring great videos. They seem to have great chemistry and be on the same page when it comes to creating videos. Dave Meyers has directed most of Pink's video and the last one is always better than the first. I Love this video

Trey Songz - Brand New

Trey Songz - Brand New

Trey Songz new video has been released it's called Brand New. I am a Trey Songz fan. I think he is underrated. He has a great voice and then he can switch it up and give you a flow that's just as good. I am looking forward to his new album. I know he has been working with Jermaine Dupri, B. Cox, and Johnta Austin for his 3rd album. I know it's gonna be hot!

Kanye West - Welcome To Heartbreak

Kanye West's latest video is Welcome To Heartbreak ft. Kid Cudi directed by NABIL. Seeing this video kinda threw me off a little bit. i have digital cable and from the effects I thought my cable was messing up. LOL! But leave it to Kanye to come with a crazy and creative visual. I love this song and video is dope

NABIL - http://www.nabilelderkin.com/

Kanye is also on the cover of Complex magazine which was shot by Chris Milk who directed Kanye's All falls down, Jesus Walks, and Touch The Sky. The shot the cover using CGI. Dopeness!!

Chrisette Michele - Epiphany

One of my favorite artists as released a new video. Chrisette Michele - Epiphany directed by Ray Kay. Chrisette is very underrated. Her 1st album was great. I am glad is releasing another Epiphany in stores May 5. This track was written by Ne-Yo and the video co-stars Drake. I am really feeling this I am liking what Ray Kay is doing with light. Chrisette is looking FAb with this new haircut. The song and video pure hottness

The Lonely Island - I'm On a Boat

The Lonely Island ft. T-Pain - I'm On a Boat directed by Akiva Schaffer aka Kiv
I have been seeing the promos for The Lonely Island that have been playing on MTV and was a little confused because the promos where like some throwback 80s MTV Spring Break thing and plus I was like "ain't that the dudes from SNL" LOL. One of the songs they did the promo for was I'm On a Boat ft. T-Pain and that really threw me off. So I went to youtube and found the video and I couldn't stop laughing. Not only was the video hilarious but the lyrics are just as funny.

"I got my swim trunks, and my flippie-floppies
I'm flippin burgers, you at Kinko's straight flippin copies"

"I'm ridin on a dolphin, doin flips and shit
The dolphin's splashin, gettin e'rybody all wet
But this ain't Seaworld, this is real as it gets
I'm on a boat motherfucker, don't you ever forget"

[T-Pain]
Yeah, never thought I'd be on a boat
It's a big blue watery road (yeah)
Poseidon~!! Look at me, oh (all hands on deck)
Never thought I'd see the day
When a big boat comin my way
Believe me when I say, I fucked a mermaid

What, The What. LOL! I love videos like this

The Lonely Island is Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone from SNL

P.O.S - Optimist

Director & Editor: Maria Juranic - http://www.mariajuranic.org/
Producer: Brady Kiernan
Director of Photography: Bo Hakala
Production Company: Rent the Sky

http://www.myspace.com/pos
http://rhymesayers.com/neverbetter

I was watching one of my favorite channels..MTV Jam and this video came on. P.O.S - Optimist directed by Maria Juranic. It caught my attention within the 1st 3 seconds with the tapping of the cups. I had to watch the entire video and I wasn't disappointed. The stop-motion animation is so dope. It's not the same rap/hip-hop video with booty shaking girls, jewelry, cars, mansions that the rappers don't own. The part with the toy cars reminds me of Sum 41's video The Hell Song which is one of my favorite videos. I have never heard of P.O.S or Maria Juranic. I was more interested in learning more about Maria Juranic because she is a woman. She is an independent filmmaker born and raised in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. She studied fine arts and filmmaking at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Currently residing in New York City. I gonna have to keep an eye for her work, because I loved what I saw in the Optimist video. It is great and inspiring to see women putting out great work in this male dominated field. I really appreciate when directors go outside the box and bring something new and creative to the industry. I'm gonna have to add Maria Juranic to my favorite director list.

Lil' Wayne - Prom Queen

Lil Wayne has a new single Prom Queen which is the lead from his upcoming album. The video is directed by my favorite director DAVE MEYERS!! When I heard the song I wasn't really into it, but did commend Wayne on going outside the box. The video made me like the song. I think the story is probably true for alot of famous people. being ignored by the popular crowd but when you become famous they try to come around you and want to be included. A simple video, but having Korn as the band how dope is that. Hot video

Ciara - Love Sex & Magic

Ciara's Love Sex & Magic featuring Justin Timberlake directed by Diane Martel was recently released. The video stills had message boards going crazy and people couldn't wait to see the finished product. The song kinda reminds me of Justin's Sexy Ladies. I think the song and video is gonna have to grow on me. I have mixed feelings about. It seems like it is almost boarderlined on getting banned. The chemistry between Justin & Ciara is great and Ciara's body is AMAZING!!! Of course after seeing the video everyone is comparing Ciara to Beyonce. Right now if Ciara sneezed people will be comparing the sneeze to Beyonce's sneeze. There are some simialrites but whatever. I am just not pumped about Love Sex & Magic. Ciara's album has been pushed back a number of times but maybe Love Sex & Magic will finally create some positive buzz for her album

Keri Hilson - Knock You Down/Make Love

Keri Hilson's new video features 2 of my favorite artists, Kanye West & Ne-Yo. The video is also directed by one of my favorite directors, Chris Robinson. I have to admit it is a little weird seeing Kanye play a love interest and being romantic. It's good that the fans can see a different side of him. The song is cool. If it was just Keri solo I don't think I would like it as much. The video has some cool elements the whole floating camera vibe and the slo-mo falling with Kanye breaking into pieces. Not stuff that hasn't been done before. But still kinda dope. Before the video was released a mini video was released with Keri & Kanye for the track Make Love which is one of my favorite songs from her album. I was confused when I saw Access Granted and the song was Knock You Down..but I guessed they released the mini video to get some hype around Knock You Down. I was really feeling the clip of Make Love. Seeing the soft side of Kanye is a good look. It seemed like Keri & Kanye were really into each other. I am just happy Kanye got rid of the fro mullett.

College Hill South Beach

The new season of BET's College Hill premiered last week and it takes us to South Beach. In the 1st episode we see the cast members. For some reason the Teri and Tiffany were really feeling Brandon..dude is aiight but nothing to drool over..but different strokes for different folks. But let's get into it. KYLE & MILAN!! WOW!! Before the door knob is seen they get into it. I have to admit Kyle did over react when Milan asked if he was gay after telling her what kind of shoes she had on..I would have asked if he was gay too..not many straight guys know a woman's shoe brand..but on the boat I do think Milan was putting Kyle's bussiness in the street when she asked who was gay. The situation did go too far when Kyle was snapping on her, but I am glad that squashed their beef.

Episode 2 - Teri & Brandon. Teri is catching feelings too quick. Brandon doesn't have any commit with her. I still don't understand why Teri & Tiffany are all over him. Brandon should have talked to Teri after he realized he didn't want to hook up with her. The next episode should be interesting it look like Teri is gonna hook up with one of Brandon's friends
